Breaker separator series CO-2, is a line of fender separators designed project team of Artesia Company. Separators of this series are manufactured only with flange connection. Additionally have a fitting or flange at the top point for connection automatic air vent.
Superheated steam and dry saturated steam (DSS) are mainly characterized only by temperature and pressure. Wet saturated steam (VNP or a mixture of SNP + VNP) contains water in the form of droplets of different sizes. Receiving heat from such a coolant is less efficient than from SNP, in addition, the released heat of the Steam-Water phase transition is partially spent on the reverse process of the Water-Steam transition.
Steam condensate equipment works most efficiently on superheated or dry saturated steam. Drops of water, even very small ones, can change both the heat exchange process itself and the process of movement of the coolant, create additional hydraulic resistance or damage pipelines intended for transporting steam. A large content of water droplets in the steam produces a mechanical abrasive effect on pipelines and heat exchangers, corrosion of surfaces. The worst thing is when pipelines and working areas intended for steam are blocked by condensate. This leads to water hammer, violation of the operating modes of thermal equipment, or to a complete stop of the process.
Consumers require steam not only of a certain temperature and pressure, but also of humidity. If the initial steam (or secondary steam) contains many drops of water, then to dry such steam, use fender steam separator. The steam separator separates steam from water droplets. The resulting dry steam is more convenient and efficient for practical use. At the same time, air and accompanying gases are also separated and discharged during the separation process.
