The AVP Differential Pressure Controller is an automatic direct acting differential pressure controller primarily used in district heating systems. Regulator valve AVP closes when the pressure difference between the pulse sampling points (that is, the differential pressure) increases.

The differential pressure regulator AVP consists of a control valve VG2 or VGF2, of the same name adjustable element AVP and impulse tubes AV, one or two depending on the specific regulator code.

adjusting element AVP in turn consists of a diaphragm block, and a setting spring with / without a handle for setting the value of the differential pressure required to maintain.

The pressure regulator offered by us can be used in systems for supplying coolant in a liquid state under pressure up to 25 bar. Suitable for pipelines with a diameter of 15, 20, 25, 32, 40 and 50 mm. Made from bronze or ductile iron. It is integrated into the transport line by means of a threaded, welded or flanged connection. Depending on the size, this pipe fitting can weigh 3.5 - 13.9 kilograms, have a body length of 65 - 230 mm and a height of 267 to 343 mm.

The principle of its operation is as follows. Data on the state of the flow of the working medium in the supply and return pipelines are transmitted through impulse pipes connected to the system in special places, or using a control channel located in the rod of the regulating element. In this case, the camera of the regulator unit works based on the information received.

The flow parameters affect the membrane directly. Compliance of the characteristics of the coolant with the specified criteria is controlled by a proportional setting of the spring. Therefore, the valve closes when the differential pressure rises and opens when it falls to maintain the required value. The differential pressure regulator is equipped with a special safety valve that protects the membrane from excessive pressure drop across it and ensures the stability and duration of its operation.

Valve specifications:

  • Nominal diameter - 15-50 mm.
  • Maximum throughput, kvs - 0.4 ... 25 m3 / h.
  • Working pressure - 25 bar.
  • Setting ranges Δps - 0.2-1.0 / 0.3-2.0 / 1.0-5.0 / 3.0-12.0 bar.
  • Controlled medium - treated water / aqueous glycol solution up to 30%.
  • The temperature of the working medium is from 2 to 150°C.

Setting up such equipment is quite simple. To maintain the necessary pressure difference between the pulse sampling points, the readings of pressure gauges are used, which are placed in these places or in close proximity to them. The required differential value can be set by means of a spring. Changing the degree of its compression is carried out by means of a handle or a wrench.
