At the time of start-up of the equipment, a large amount of condensate is usually formed. This is due to higher starting loads than in the operating mode, as a result of which the output of the equipment to the operating mode can sometimes take several hours. The main reason for this effect may be the insufficient capacity of the steam traps in starting modes.
In order to reduce the time to enter the operating mode and intensive removal of condensate, drain valves are installed during start-up and warm-up of the steam-condensate system.
To solve these problems, MIYAWAKI has developed steam traps with an integrated drain ball valve, which can increase the capacity and significantly increase the cold water performance of the steam trap. As a result, the equipment warm-up time is reduced, productivity is increased, there is no need to install additional drainage fittings, and the piping scheme for steam-consuming equipment is simplified.
