steam traps

Steam traps - types and principle of operation:

  1. Thermostatic steam traps. The principle of operation of thermostatic steam traps is based on the temperature difference between steam and condensate. Various thermoelements (bimetals, membrane capsules, Wax elements) ensure the functioning of steam traps
  2. Thermodynamic steam trap. The operation of thermodynamic disc steam traps is based on the Bernoulli principle, i.e. the interaction of the speed and force of pressure of condensate and steam on each other inside the steam trap.
  3. Ball float steam trap. Ball float steam traps belong to the group of mechanical steam traps. The principle of their operation is based on the difference in density between steam and water.
  4. Inverted bucket steam trap. Inverted bucket steam traps belong to the group of mechanical steam traps. The principle of their operation is based on the difference in density between steam and water.
  5. Steam traps for compressed air. MIYAWAKI compressed air steam traps (moisture separators) are designed to drain condensate from compressed air and gas pipelines, collection tanks.

The efficient operation of the steam trap depends on the correct selection of the steam trap, the materials from which the products are made, and the build quality that guarantees the highest quality.

A wide range of production always allows us to offer the customer the best option for him. All standards, types and connection sizes are available according to JIS, ANSI and DIN.

For more than 85 years, constant innovation and thoughtful engineering has enabled MIYAWAKI to maintain a leading position in the steam and condensate fittings market. The company has developed, patented and implemented the "SCCV-Valve Closing and Centering System", which significantly increased their service life.

The internal parts of the steam traps are made of stainless steel.

All steam traps are equipped with built-in filters.

The equipment of steam traps with bimetallic rings and air valves for the removal of air and non-condensable gases contributes to the rapid removal of air and cold condensate in starting modes, and also prevents the occurrence of air locks during operation.

Rational use of energy resources and issues of energy saving.

Separately, I would like to say about computerized system for diagnostics of steam traps. Extensive knowledge and many years of experience in the manufacture and testing of steam traps has led to the development of various instrumentation for testing steam traps.

Dr. Steam Traps Diagnostic System Trap Jr. is the ideal assistant for inspection of steam traps. The system guarantees the prevention of steam losses and maximum energy savings, making a significant contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and maximum environmental savings.
