Thermostatic capsule steam traps do not require manual adjustment, they are automatic steam traps.
Capsular steam traps feature NO LEAKAGE of steam during operation.
Thermostatic pressure-balanced capsule steam traps are equipped with a temperature-sensitive membrane capsule that provides condensate drainage. The capsule is filled with a special liquid and adjusted in such a way that at a given pressure it always has a saturation temperature lower than that of water.
Peculiarities:
— Ensuring constant air removal;
— Resistant to counterpressure and water hammer;
- In the operating mode, steam losses are excluded;
- Freezing is excluded, since by default the valve is always open;
— Equipped with a built-in filter;
— Installation both in vertical, and in horizontal position;
— The special design is intended for service without obligatory removal from the line;
- Compact and lightweight.
This is probably my favorite type of steam trap.
