Steam traps for compressed air systems are used when there is a strong change in pressure or temperature in systems for compressed air or gases, pipelines, in the presence of hydraulic resistance and changes in section, where such conditions can be created under which water in air or gases can cross the saturation line and, respectively, condense in the form of a liquid phase.
At high flow rates, the liquid can create additional hydraulic resistance, water hammer, abrasive and chemical destructive effects on pipelines and equipment. At low temperatures, ice formation, changes in the shape of pipelines and their mechanical destruction are possible.
Timely removal of condensate in certain places using compressed air steam traps can protect equipment from such damage and increase the reliability and performance of the entire system as a whole.
Steam traps for compressed air systems are designed to drain condensate from compressed air pipelines, gas pipelines and collection tanks.
Steam traps for compressed air systems Series A is a type of steam trap designed to drain condensate from pneumatic systems and pressurized gas systems.
All steam traps have the option supplying an equalizing line to prevent the formation of air pockets. A surge line is not necessary if the trap is installed directly below the drained equipment or in a vertical position.
Variable pressure and flow rates of compressed air or gases at the inlet do not affect the efficiency of steam traps.
Special steam traps are available in the following models:
For low and / or medium productivity - AG11 / AG12.
For systems with high air pressure or various gases - AG29/AGH29.
For low to medium capacity with inverted float - AE8.
For medium and high performance with bypass - AV.
Made of stainless steel - AGU.
