check valve is a type of pipe fitting that is used to prevent flow direction change gas, liquid or viscous medium transported through the pipeline. It is an automatic direct action valve it provides passage of the medium in one direction. Check valves are used for steam and water pipelines, pumping equipment, pressure vessels and other equipment.
Check valve for water is installed on a horizontal section of the pipeline. In most cases, protective fittings are only checkpoint, however, there are also angle check valves that are designed and to change direction flow of gas, liquid, viscous medium on 90 degrees.
The application of safety check valves can be divided into:
- Ability to work as normal. During normal operation, check valves provide protection against reversal of medium flow. For example, when connecting pressure lines with several pumps into one system, pipeline protective fittings will protect each line from pressure drops while the pump is running in another line.
- Ability to work in case of emergency. If pressure drops in one of the pipeline sections of the system, while maintaining pressure in other sections, a reverse flow of the medium may occur, which is unacceptable during equipment operation
The operation of the non-return valve is carried out fully automatically - the protective fittings are activated under the pressure of the medium itself in case the flow changes direction to the opposite.
Check valves series Z15 different from other similar models the absence of a spring. This difference allows these valves to be used for lower working pressures. Installation on a vertical section must be additionally agreed with the manufacturer.
check valves Z16 series spring type. Can be installed asvertical, as well as inhorizontal position no limit.
Z26 - a shut-off valve capable of working with water, gas, steam and non-aggressive liquids. Not suitable as a control valve. Check valve Z26 used when fittings are needed to ensure the permanent closure of the pipeline.

Check valve. Non-return valve with the possibility of permanent closing. The working medium can be water, steam, air and non-aggressive gases. Not suitable as a regulator.
