Shut-off valves with stuffing box seal — the most common type of pipe fittings. Reliable within its scope. They can be manufactured as 2-way or 3-way valves, and also have a 2-way angle body design.
Shut-off valves with stuffing box seal ensure the tightness of the connection between the cover and the movable part of the valve using a stuffing box. In the place where the stem or spindle passes, the stuffing box is laid. With the help of special devices, the packing is pressed along the axis of the spindle (rod), resting against the walls of the stuffing box and compacted. Thus it is created ALMOST tightness and the working environment does not penetrate outside the housing. In fittings of small diameters, the packing is compressed with a union nut, for large diameters - with a special part using two hinged or anchor bolts with nuts.
Oil seals maximum simplify design and reduce cost fittings, has many advantages that make it preferable in most cases:
But the stuffing box does not guarantee absolute tightness - therefore, such fittings cannot be used for toxic and hazardous environments.
Valves are supplied as standard with handwheel, but if necessary, can be completed manual gearbox, electric or pneumatic drive.
