Automation of installations for regulation and control of steam input Art-CP-SPS

Automation of control installations. By steam input, we mean a section of a steam pipeline between a steam source (or a steam distribution section) and the main consumer of steam with an automatic control and monitoring system, which can be assigned the following main tasks:

  • improving the quality of steam to the consumer;
  • obtaining steam of given parameters both in terms of pressure and temperature (with a possible correction according to the technological process);
  • distribution of a pair of specified parameters over the site of a single consumer;
  • steam accounting;
  • control of steam parameters by sections;
  • safety of operation of the steam input and steam distribution areas;
  • steam input process data archive.

It can be noted that a rather responsible task falls on the automation system with steam input, which should ensure high quality control along with reliability and safety. At the same time, not infrequently, such a system should combine the function of accounting for parameters and a data archive, which allows for analysis to adjust the operation of the system in order to control errors, increase energy efficiency and draw up plans for energy saving.

Software Art-CP-SPS along with a hardware solution, it allows you to quickly make changes (with limited access) to the control algorithm, which ensures system flexibility regardless of the specifics (technology) of the steam consumer and other operating conditions. Such an approach to solving the set tasks guarantees the Customer the expected result.

The culture of operation of the facility is significantly improved, the Customer has all the necessary parametric database for the analysis of the facility and its modernization in order to increase energy efficiency.

Additionally, the system can be equipped with the function of automatic start/stop, system heating, emergency shutdown of steam supply, uninterruptible power supply, dispatching, remote control.

Automation of control plants Art-CP-SPS does not have a standard configuration, and therefore does not apply to streaming products. At the stage of system development, it is mandatory to study the object, develop the terms of reference together with the Customer. In production, standard solutions are used for local tasks, the model of which is the intellectual property of the Artesia company. The solutions and equipment used by us have been tested over the years, have an extremely positive feedback from the consumer, and include modern innovative solutions in the field of automation and energy saving.

An example of the implementation of an automatic control and monitoring system for steam input Art-CP-SPS in the paper machine shop.

The automatic control system for steam input for the needs of the heat point of the paper machine is designed to monitor and control the technological parameters of steam.

The automatic control system provides:

(if appropriate sensors are available and the system is configured accordingly)

Regulation:

  • water vapor pressure before being fed to the PM.

Control:

  • water vapor pressure at the inlet;
  • water vapor pressure at the outlet (redundant pressure sensors);
  • water vapor pressure on the branch to the heater;
  • water vapor pressure on the branch of the administrative building;
  • steam pressure downstream of a direct acting regulator.

Alarm:

  • the output of technological parameters beyond the permissible limits;
  • clogged filters upstream of the direct acting regulator and control valve;
  • equipment malfunctions.

Manual control:

  • the position of the steam supply valve (by software).

Physically, it consists of a local process control panel, a remote control panel, and field emergency steam cutoff buttons located along the paper machine.

For interaction between the Operator and the System, the text screen of the controller on the local control panel and the touch panel installed on the remote control panel are used. The screen and panel are used for:

  • setting the required values of technological parameters, as well as for selecting the operating modes of the system;
  • setting the features of the automatic control system;
  • viewing emergency and informational messages;
  • switching the unit to manual mode and changing the value of discrete and analog outputs of the unit;
  • displaying the current readings of the sensors and the state of the actuators.
