Installation for collecting condensate and drying seeds

Installation for collecting condensate and drying seeds ART-ACDC. Heating up to the set temperatures of vertical drying of cereals Buhler.

Steam heaters of the dryer 3.2 MW, PNP SPE.

Condensate collection unit. According to the technical specifications of the customer, the following were provided:

  • Calculation of the power of steam heaters for the BUHLER drying column and their production;
  • Condensate collection unit. Calculation of parameters for the production of a steam supply module and automatic regulation of steam for heaters, active condensate removal to the boiler room.

After Artesia specialists visited the facility to collect initial data and conduct an energy audit, it was found necessary to ensure the maximum load mode in winter, due to the following air heating parameters:

  • Initial air temperature -20 ° C.
  • The set air temperature after heating is 85°C.
  • Determine the mass air flow through the heater based on the conditions, the volumetric air flow should be at least 110 thousand m3 / h for each channel at an air temperature of 85 ° C. In total, 2 channels are used.

Note: according to the indicated parameters, the calculated power of 3.2 MW per channel is determined. That is, for air heating, 2 sections of heaters of 3.2 MW each should be structurally involved. Thus, the total thermal power of the installation is determined to be 6.4 MW.

Also, after getting acquainted with the technological process, there were still some needs:

— provision of steam pressure at the input of the steam module in the range of 9.0 ... 10.0 bar above. / Steam pipeline Du150.

- the maximum rise of the return condensate pipeline is 6.5 ... 7.0 m, DN80 and the slope of the condensate pipeline has to be carried out from the thermal module towards the condensate collector of the boiler room to ensure the maximum section of the condensate gravity flow.

- compressed air pipeline supply Du25, pressure not less than 6.0 bar and not more than 10.0 bar.

Production process of PNP SPE steam heaters:

  • Designing the steam supply and control module with active condensate removal ART-ACDC:
  • Production of steam supply and control module with active condensate removal ART-ACDC
  • After the shipment of the equipment to the facility, installation supervision and commissioning were carried out

At the request of the customer, this project was completed in a short time. The condensate collection unit made it possible to achieve design indicators, which was a good start to the season of a new and modern promising oil extraction plant.

Condensate collection unit. Work description.

Reduced steam from the boiler room 4 bar with a temperature of 150 C is fed into the steam heater control module. A pneumatically actuated control valve regulates the steam according to the air temperature of the drying column (temperature sensor is installed at one of the levels of the drying air passages). The heaters are loaded with steam according to the seed load mode automatically. Air vents and vacuum interrupters are also installed in front of the heaters to prevent air pockets of non-condensed gases and the possible formation of a vacuum in the system, respectively. The resulting condensate with T = 100-120 C after heat transfer enters the condensate receivers of the module. After that, intermittently, as it arrives, it is pumped out to the boiler room by mechanical steam pumps that do not need electricity. The drive medium can be either compressed air or superheated or saturated steam.

The seeds are dried, the moisture is removed! The technological process chain is not interrupted, the quality of the manufactured products is not lost!

Steam is regulated, condensate is returned! Energy resources are used as efficiently as possible!

The condensate collection unit is in operation.

The drying process is automated, the operator is resting!

The project used heaters of Artesia's own production, steam and condensate equipment (mechanical steam pumps, steam traps, air vents) from the Japanese manufacturer MIYAWAKI, SCA pipe fittings (Czech Republic), HABONIM pneumatic control valve (Israel), instrumentation and automation (WIKA, Schneider).
