Control valves are designed to regulate the flow, pressure, flow rate of the working medium. It is used to obtain the necessary technological parameters as well as for dosing.
Control valves can be operated manually and by means of a pneumatic actuator or an electric actuator, it can also use a positioner. Control valves are widely used to automate technological processes. There are special types of control valves for high pressure, cryogenics, precise micro-flows, as well as for use in explosive industries.
The Artesia company offers flanged two-way fittings made of steel and gray cast iron, which are suitable for operation with gas, liquid, water, air, steam and other compositions without abrasive additives, comparable to the material used to manufacture the internal parts of the equipment.
It is possible to install control valves with an electric drive on pipelines DN 15-150 mm. They block the flow of transported substances by means of a movable component - a plunger. This part is made in three versions: needle, rod and disc. The plunger moves along the axis of the flow of the working medium through the saddle and thereby changes the flow area.
Where are motorized metal valves used:
Two-way motorized control valves are designed to restrict the flow of the transported medium while maintaining the required mixing ratio. They have two outlets for connection to the pipeline by means of flanges. They can also perform the function of a regulator of differential pressure and power of indirect action. As you can see, in addition to the corrective option, they are also endowed with the properties of shut-off valves, which cannot be said about three-way valves.
They are intended for the separation and mixing of substances transported by the highway, but they cannot limit the flow rate, while maintaining the mixing ratio. Three-way valve with electric drive is characterized by the presence of 3 branch pipes for flange connection. If products of the first type are more often used on centralized pipelines, then these units are more in demand in autonomous systems. There are still electric four-way control valves, but they are used extremely rarely. Such fittings allow mixing the flow according to the double bypass algorithm.
Operating modes of two-way equipment:
If there are no additional settings, then the nominal flow rate of the medium is taken as the standard operating mode.
Despite the fact that in the vast majority of cases flanged models are used, there are also valves that are mounted in the pipeline by welding. It is used in highways transporting aggressive compounds, where tightness requirements are as strict as possible. The advantages of such products are compact dimensions and low weight. However, they can only be used in steel structures.
The composition of the electric drive:
Commands to the engine are transmitted by the control system. The unit also regulates the operation parameters and supplies power to all structural elements of the valve.
